All of the Air Force Museum’s Education Programmes are closely linked to and designed for the New Zealand School Curriculum. Main curriculum links are displayed in our Education Booklet and the Education Officer is also happy to discuss other possibilities in order to meet your requirements.
While some programmes are listed as being suitable for a wide range of year-levels, programme content can differ markedly depending on your group’s age, levels of prior knowledge and the specific learning outcomes required. Apart from the programmes listed, we often cater to secondary school groups’ particular needs and we have provided programmes focussing on topics from theory of flight to exhibition design; please feel free to phone or email the Education Officer to discuss your needs.
All programme bookings can allow time for Museum exploration, and Scavenger Hunts and worksheets are provided. Most of our Education Programmes are free of charge, except for high-cost or specific programmes, subject to the Education Officer’s review. As the Air Force Museum is a registered charitable trust, koha (donations) are gladly accepted.
