To mark the 70th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore, our research team have produced "Bombs and Bulldozers", a new online exhibition which tells the story of the RNZAF's No. 1 Aerodrome Construction Squadron and their dramatic escape from Singapore in February 1942. This unique unit worked under extremely difficult conditions to build new airfields for the Royal Air Force in Malaya (now Malaysia), only to be forced to blow them up when the Japanese invaded.
