About us
Come and discover one of the world’s premier military aviation collections at the Air Force Museum of New Zealand...
Since 1987 it has been our mission to preserve and present the history of New Zealand Military Aviation for commemoration, inspiration, learning and enjoyment. Our collection items number in the millions – from aircraft, engines and assorted parts to medals, weapons, pin-ups and parachute-silk wedding dresses. At the Air Force Museum you can marvel at our collection of 28 classic aircraft, be inspired by the bravery of present and past servicemen, servicewomen and their families or fly a simulator. Your journey through the Air Force Museum of New Zealand will be something very special.

We Care
At the Air Force Museum we understand that all activities create environmental and social impacts. We are no exception. Where we have control, and influence, we actively promote ways in which we can minimise adverse effects by reducing waste, being energy efficient, conserving water, recyling materials and providing assistance to our community.
We know that our visitors will respect this position and may even have ideas that can assist us. For more information, ideas we might be able to use or feedback, please talk to our staff.
