Exhibitions
Our exhibitions are part of our mission; to preserve and present the history of the Royal New Zealand Air Force for inspiration, learning and enjoyment. As well as our permanent displays in our Atrium, Aircraft Hall, our Wartime Family Home and our recently refurbished Horizon to Horizon Gallery we are continually developing temporary exhibitions.
Current Exhibitions
Horizon to Horizon Gallery: The Flightpath of our Air Force
The Horizon to Horizon Gallery tells the story of the Royal New Zealand Air Force from its inception to the current day. The gallery features a backlit timeline which arcs through the centre of the space, display cases featuring the stories of men and women who have served with the Air Force and celebrating their contributions, great and small, and selected artefacts that relate to the different eras of the Air Force. These range from uniforms and weapons, to silverware and “Fanshaw” the bear mascot of No 75 Squadron.

Wartime Family Home
Step back in time and experience World War Two on the Home Front in our authentically recreated 1940’s home. Interactive displays capture the life of a wartime New Zealand family – a world away from the marvels of modern technology.
The Wartime Family Home is available as part of our 1940s Tea Parties - enjoy a delicious morning or afternoon tea in our authentic wartime home to the sounds of Glenn Miller!
