Online Exhibitions

Our online exhibitions are an important way in which we provide increased access to our extensive and important collection. As with most museums we are unable to display our collection in its entirety and our archive, in particular, houses many precious artefacts that illustrate the many precious stories of those who served at home and abroad.

Our latest online exhibition, On the wing RNZAF Rugby is an interesting insight into sporting times in the New Zealand Air Force. Bombs and Bulldozers, tells the story of the RNZAF's No. 1 Aerodrome Construction Squadron in Malaya and Singapore in 1941-1942.  Blitzkrieg brings you the experiences of Kiwis in the the Battle of France in 1940, while A Kiwi at War explores the story of Bill Smith and his experiences as a prisoner of war in Germany.
