Year 4 to 13
Programme 1 – Museum & Hangar Tours
Explore the amazing displays that offer insight into Air Force life during World Wars One & Two and to the present day. Tour the Museum on your own or use the Museum Educators to provide information on specific topics during your tour of the Museum and Restoration Hangars. Sample topics which can be covered during this visit are World War Two, the RNZAF, Women in War, and ANZAC Day.
Make the most of your Museum Visit by booking a tour of our Restoration & Storage Hangars. A visit to the Storage Hangar not only provides viewing of 11 more aircraft but also allows students the opportunity to board an Andover aircraft and participate in a simulated parachute jump. Or add the option of a Pacific Room Simulator Experience where students are ‘enlisted’ to the Royal New Zealand Air Force during WWII in the Pacific; a learning experience where students are exposed to a simulated bombing raid and life in the Pacific Islands during WWII. Charges may apply.
