On Anzac Day 2014, members of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers started a project to trace and photograph surviving veterans of World War Two.
With the support of the Returned and Services Association and its network of local branches, veterans of all three services (Army, Navy and Air Force) were photographed across the country. Sadly, some of these veterans have since passed away. The collection of images stands as a tribute to the last of thousands of New Zealanders who served both here and overseas.
This exhibition brings together the portraits of some of the men and women who served with the Air Force during that great conflict, more than 70 years ago.
On display upstairs in the Caldwell Gallery from 30 July. FREE.
