Exhibition Overview
The exhibition, Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank, aims to inform young people about Anne Frank and the Holocaust, and challenge them to explore subjects like identity, prejudice and discrimination. It also allows for open, moderated discussion, a better understanding of this time in history and how it is relevant to them.
This traveling exhibition tells the story of Anne Frank, from her birth in 1929 up to her death in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945. It shows the history of her time; the rise of Hitler, the persecution of the Jews and the Second World War.
It is also dedicated to the stories of young people today, how they view themselves and how others view them. By learning about Anne Frank’s life, young people can learn about subjects like identity, exclusion and discrimination.
