Overview

Exploring an Antarctic hut without the cold is possible these school holidays!

This immersive experience has been developed by the Antarctic Heritage Trust in partnership with Auckland University of Technology (AUT), to celebrate New Zealand’s first presence in Antarctica, and will enable visitors of all ages to explore Sir Edmund Hillary’s hut at Scott Base, through the wonders of VR technology.

Make sure you don’t miss out on this exciting event! You’ll be able to explore Hillary’s hut from 12 October until 17 October, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

This 10 minute experience is free, bookings are required; book your slot here.

Open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm (except Christmas Day)
