The Air Force Band at the Museum

Air Force on Tour 2021

SUnday 21 February 2021, 2:00pm

Aircraft Hall, Air Force Museum of New Zealand

FREE

Join the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band as they wing their way through an exciting variety concert, with music spanning from Anthony Ritchie’s “Down the Brunner Mine” and Verdi’s “The Force of Destiny” through to tunes by Earth, Wind, & Fire and music from Disney classics. You’ll also hear features from the band’s famous drum line, singer/comedian Matt Mulholland, bagpiper F/S Murray Mansfield, and flutist Rebecca Steel.

The band recently celebrated its 80th anniversary, and is often heard welcoming dignitaries at Government House, or providing music for commemorations at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park. It performed at the sold-out 2016 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and more recently to hundreds of thousands of people at the Nanchang International Military Tattoo in China. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the power of New Zealand’s only full-sized professional symphonic band in concert!
