Our Team
The Air Force Museum of New Zealand has the support of 27 fulltime staff accross its departments including Collections, Front of House and Administration. Our team is made up of a diverse range of individuals all of whom bring their unique and valuable skills to bear on their position. Each individual has an important part to play in the ongoing preservation and presentation of the history of the RNZAF for inspiration, learning and enjoyment.

The Front of House Team
With responsibility for the Museum’s customer service, marketing and communications, the gift shop, public programmes, events and venue hire, the website, volunteer guides and the Friends of the Museum, these are the people you are most likely to come into contact with.
David Clearwater is the Business Manager and the team’s leader. As well as overseeing and managing the rest of the team’s functions, Dave is the voice of the Museum. He promotes the Museum in as many places as possible, from international conferences to local community groups.
Chris Davey is our in-house school teacher. He designs and runs the education programmes at the Museum as Education Officer. This year is shaping up to be one of the busiest on record for school group visits.
Deanna Herbert is our Evening Events Supervisor. She ensures the safety of the Museum during functions and is currently assisting public programmes to gain OSCAR accreditation for our holiday programmes.
Aleasha Price is the Front of House and Retail Supervisor, AKA our “Manager of First Impressions.” She is the first point of contact for visitors and runs the shop.
Rebecca Jacka is the Public Programmes Coordinator. She works with the Visitor Hosts to create and run public programmes (such as tours, 1940s Tea Parties and holiday programmes). Rebecca also looks after the volunteer guide team.
Naias Mingo fills the new position of Front of House Projects. Naias assists David Clearwater in revenue-generating activities and in marketing, and also manages the Air Force Museum’s website.
The Visitor Hosts, Catherine Worsfold and Holly Dyer are our longest serving and newest members of the Public Programmes team respectively. They can be found around the Museum, hosting groups, keeping the Museum tidy and safe, working at the ticketing counter and conducting surveys.
