Become a volunteer guide!

Volunteer guides play an important role at the Air Force Museum, by helping us share our stories with visitors. For those who volunteer with our Visitor Experience Team at the front face of the Museum, this includes greeting our visitors and engaging with them around our collection and exhibits, while also assisting the Visitor Hosts with the safety and security of the Museum’s collection and any other small visitor engagement tasks that may be required.

To be a Museum guide, you don’t need to have served in the Air Force, or even know anything about aviation to begin with; just an open mind, keenness to learn and ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people. Full training will be provided.

If you’d like to find out more about becoming a volunteer guide at the Air Force Museum, download the position description from the button below. For more information about the Museum this web page is a great place to start. To apply to be a volunteer guide, the first step is to fill out our online application below. We look forward to hearing from you.
