Come to the Air Force Museum and be an Air Force pilot!



Suitable for Y0-4 students

After listening to an interactive story about ‘James the Air Force pilot’, children first learn about, then try on real pilot’s clothing, watch an Air Force video, sit in an ejection seat, and make a kitset glider to take home. A wonderful learning experience and great for photo opportunities.

Air Force Clothing in World War Two and Now

This programme gives students the opportunity to examine and try on a range of Air Force clothing used in World War 2, then compare it to equipment used today.

Airport Adventures

Learn all about airports and air travel at the Air Force Museum! A fast-paced and interactive programme where children get to board a real aircraft.

Exploring Flight

Through a series of practical activities, learn about the parts of an aircraft and the principles of flight.

Open daily from 10am to 4pm (except Christmas Day)
Entry to the Museum is free, donations are appreciated.
