Discover the story behind ANZAC Day in a unique and relevant environment



Suitable for Y4-8 students, but can be adapted for younger students if required.

Programme content is tailored to the requirements of your group and can include the significance of the Museum’s Roll of Honour, a classroom session on the events at Gallipoli, making poppies, discussing and handling real medals, and even a visit to our Pacific Simulator room to experience the conditions that our ANZAC airmen and ground crew faced in the Pacific during World War Two.

Rations Challenge

Learn about rationing and ration packs in World War Two, then split into teams to cook and eat a modern day New Zealand Defence Force ration pack.

Museum Visit

Discover our amazing displays, which offer insight into Air Force life during the World Wars through to the present day. Students will love exploring the Museum, full of amazing aircraft and personal stories.

Roll of Honour

A memorial and record of all New Zealanders who have died while in service with the RNZAF or other air forces since 1915.
